IN-HOME COOKING CLASSES and PARTIES for KIDS & TEENS
Afterschool cooking classes for kids & teens (5 years old and up) is a terrific way to expose both picky eaters and adventurous eaters--and everything in between--to new dishes they can make themselves. Cooking allows kids to open up to a whole new world of food appreciation by letting them take part in the process from start to finish, creating confidence and pride in the meal they've created. To boot, every class ends with a full dinner your whole family can enjoy together (read: you don't have to cook!).
You can set up private lessons for just one child, a group of children, or parent-and-child classes. Visit Home Cooking New York for more information.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS for children and teens
Bring cooking to the classroom! Kids can learn how to cook anywhere - with or without a kitchen. Julie can develop a customized curriculum that matches the needs of your organization and also work within financial and space constraints.
Many schools no longer offer home economics and don't have the resources to teach nutrition beyond the basics. Learning how to cook is an ideal way for kids and teens to learn about nutrition and healthful eating - it's fun and hands-on. It will expand their palates and improve the variety of their diet since they are more likely to eat dishes they helped prepare.
